How Does Google Decide What to Show You as a Search?

There are over a billion unique websites. It's estimated that there could be 60 trillion pages. Google can't just query the internet every time you make a search. So it makes its own copy of the internet by sending what it calls crawlers all over the internet. They gather information about websites, about web pages, and they bring it back to Google.
