The patient has DBTs, we know he's an extremely thromagenic person from his cancer or at least suspected cancer. One more PE could push him over the edge. So I feel like in that patient if you still must interrupt anti-coagulation which is the whole crux of this case should we shouldn't we if so when but if you must then I feel like this is the situation where you get agreement amongst most people then an IVC filter is probably a good idea.
