Is Joe Biden's Windfall Profits Tax a Good Idea?

Joe Biden floated a windfall profits tax on oil companies, which I think is great. Part of me was like, I'm glad he did that and he's going to campaign on that in the final week. The other part of this is it seems like every single voter in every state is frustrated about the state of the economy and gas prices. If you're in California, you can vote for Prop 1, which enshrines a constitutional right to an abortion. So therefore you are probably less concerned about sending Democrats back to Congress to preserve abortion access because you're thinking "We've got it covered here"
