i think it's pretty certain that all the welsh people to day who are called davith are named after him, because you see no daviths until the mid twelfth century. He was steward of the diocese of saint david's in south wales. And something that his son, earl henry, inherited after him. That's very unusual for this period. It may be that it spread further aure.
