The people of Ukraine remain unbroken. They want a clear path to join NATO for obvious reasons. President Biden and other NATO members say they don't want Ukraine joining NATO right now while that war is going on because that would mean world war with Russia effectively. So this year's NATO summit ended with an agreement that Ukraine will join NATO someday eventually, but there is no clear timeline.
