The Role of Orthopedic Rehab in Pain

There are problems in interpretation of the orthopedic test and the imaging findings to make a definitive diagnosis. So when do you think it is clinically relevant? And I guess what I would suggest to patients is we try an appropriate period of time. We give conservative rehab an appropriateperiod of time. Maybe that's 12 weeks, maybe it's slightly longer,. If the patient is satisfied with the change then maybe it's not necessary to escalate that to a surgeon. However, if the patient isn't making the gains they should be making and is not improving, then obviously that patient needs to go to get a second opinion from wherever that appropriate place may be - often that will be an orthopedic
