There are diseases that just affect the spinal cord and motor neurons like ALS. There's also similar sort of inflammatory responses that kick in with, that affect these toxic proteins like TDP43. Mylon is a way to close the window on plasticity, because once it wraps itself around different parts of the neuron, it's going to prevent synapses from forming there.
