How to Do a Superficial Cervical Plexus Block

The superficial cervical plexus block can be done to anesthetize the cape over the clavicle and to the shoulder. It's good for coverage for a carotid endar directomy. The other thing we'll see in orthotrama as well is mid-clavicular fractures that aren't going to be covered with an interscaling nerve block. They need a little extra coverage for the medial portion, and that can be covered with the superficial cervical pLexus nerve block.
