Firefighter John Orr - The Fireman's Promise

FBI criminal profilers have deemed John Orr to be one of the worst American serial arsonists of the 20th century. Some law enforcement officials believe he could be responsible for in excess of 2000 fires over a 30 year period. According to a 2016 report from the National Volunteer Fire Council, over 100 firefighters are arrested for arson annually. The perplexing behavior has been linked to a variety of motivators, such as hero complexes, boredom, attention seeking, financial gain and excitement.
