I think there's a lot of similarities with how Russian China approached the world. And those similarities also line up with the largely autocratic governments of Central Asia. The largest sort of friction point I see between Russia, China and the Central Asian landmass is that tension between what Central Asian governments want to do and then what Central Asians people want to do.
