The Effect of Virtue on Friendship
For friendships based on the good, it's going to have the primary way is with one of the friends turns bad. This is not likely because virtue is stable, but it can happen. Aristotle actually says he says if one of your friends starts turning bad, you should start to convert him and keep him from going bad. If you fail at a certain point that friendship is going to happen to be over.
