The End of France Kafka's America by Martin Kippenberger

Kafka's America is the name of an artwork by artist Martin Kippenberger who was active in the 80s and 90s. It's this enormous installation which like fills whatever room is available to house it. The main protagonist, Max Brute, willingly goes to his execution with his own willingness. And yeah I tend to think that it was meant to end badly. But there is this strange polarity in his work where he has faith in the possibility of something much more sort of utopian but in a very fleeting way.
