Bob Greene: Would Nixon get this out of Vietnam qualify as a Republican that did something significant? Well, first of all, it wasn't Nixon. It was Jerry Ford, if you'll recall, who was president when we left Saigon. He reached out to the South Vietnamese government and said, I will make you rich when I become president. That's an easy story. But Nixon committed treason against the United States. And he shoveled a ton of money at that family.
