The podcast is called the great simplification for three reasons. It aims to simplify complex topics into bite size pieces that people can understand. The total amount of energy, and availability and cost of that energy in the not too distant future will be very different than it was for the past couple generations. In coming decade, in the coming century, we will experience a great simplification as the benefits and complexity that we've built on top of cheap and abundant energy reverse. And that could be really grim, or it could be manageable and even propel society and human cultures on to a new path where is more tethered to actually our brain.
