The Rise of Effective Altruism
effective altruism has become increasingly kind of turned in on itself. The hudg part of the movement's fundraising is now not for, you know, mosquito nets in Africa or combating climate change and existential threat. They argue that promoting the movement itself is how you're going to save the world. And I think an increasing number of people as I interviewed and mentioned in this economist article are now slightly becoming disillusioned with the whole thing.
