The Importance of Weeping

The word empathy or pathi comes from the same word as passion and it means feeling or emotion. In verse 35, Jesus wept rather than just saying, oh, it's just because she and they are weeping loudly, so he is quietly weeping with them. Is it possible that some of those tears are shed because of his love for these people? There could be a lot of additional reasons why Jesus is weeping.
