To Turf Something or to Turve Something?
Heaps of, tons of, loads of. Do you ever use any of those terms to express a lot of, which is the standard one that you would use? All the time. So saying, I have heaps of work to do. What was the other word? Turf out. To turf something. Like, I'm going to turf this. Where does that come from? Does it refer to the turf as in the grass? And that's definitely what I associate the word on its own. But to turf something away, or to turf something out, or just to turf something, something would mean to throw it out.
