Is There Just Too Many Gay Characters in Your Crime Novel?

Eiagagi writes about a lot of social justice issues in her crime thrillers. Many authors would like to include more diversity in their books. But let's face it, right now it's a very difficult culture of offence and cancelling. And so my books are not for everybody. I remember the first time i got a negative review when i was with random house,.  They were saying something stupid like, ol, there's just too many gay characters, or something thing eiagagi.
