Witzhold pletsky was a hero of poland. His ancestors had been deported to russia for participating in january 18 63 18 64 uprising. He joined an underground polish scouting and guiding association called the z hp. Now, as you can probably imagine from me describing this, the russians did not particularly like the idea of poles arming and training themselves for combat to gain independence.
