The False Narratives of China and the US

The US has long felt that China is the culprit in the trade deficit which puts pressure on companies and workers and communities. The Chinese piece is the largest, although it's come down considerably since the tariffs were put on by President Trump starting in 2018. And my argument there is yes, as in most false narratives, there is fact supporting the fact that we have a trade deficit. But trade deficits do not occur in a vacuum; they are an outgrowth of a deficiency in domestic saving.
