I really like how he sprinkled throughout the film. I definitely missed almost all of the instances of pipes when I was watching. So they begin to get the idea that this has to suggest that it's some kind of entity that's haunting every occupants of space. And she says it may go into prehistory, which I found interesting, like something like truly ancient that's like haunted that place and tortured an individual living there for centuries. Which almost sort of gives a pass to pipes and or mother's sins, if you think about it. Because it wasn't them in control of this primordial ghost thing.
