New Research Could Be a Game Changer for Treating Certain Types of Cancer
Scientists at the francis crick institute in london found evidence that air pollution can trigger old damage cells that eventually become cancerous. They were able to use a specialized drug to successfully stop cancers from forming in mice exposed to air pollution. Now they believe they'll be able to create drugs to stop cancers from form. Heavy dense smoke from multiple wild fires in the west are causing air quality problems for large areas of northern california, oregon, washington and idaho.
