The Indian Business Community Was Not Going to Leave India
The business community in India was kept at arm's length from the administration of india. The british saw themselves being relatively unaffected by partition, and that they would distcontinue doing, doing business. There were a few business people who had close connctions to those areas like lala shiram in punjab. But most of the foreign business communitys stayed later on with the valuation of the rupee during the 19 sixties.
