An ec, the PhD student from outside Boston and who mostly likes to ride mountain bikes shows up on a whim in 2021 sort of at the last minute after getting a spot on the waitlist. And he competed in a raccoon onesie for half the damn race alongside Ben are all these total New England characters who show up guys like oyster Rick. So 2020 goes well, but the event really takes off in 2021 with a lot of excitement and increased participation. Here's how Ben Eck describes his headspace going into this year's race.
