Second-year defensive tackle CJ West is the 49ers' latest IR casualty, joining a growing list of San Francisco players on the mend just three weeks into the season. On this episode of "49ers Talk," co-hosts Matt Maiocco and Jennifer Lee Chan discuss how the 49ers can manage the early hits to their defensive line and wide receiver corps. Will the addition of Northern California native and NFL vet Brandin Cooks bridge the gap at wideout, or can Jordan Watkins finally break through? Later, Matt and Jennifer discuss Brock Purdy's phenomenal start -- and why coach Kyle Shanahan and running back Christian McCaffrey aren't surprised.
