We don't need to be on the plateau in order to stimulate hypertrophy. It just has to be high enough level of force to stimulatehypertrophy. We absolutely can see significant hypertrophy outcomes and adaptations at those short links if there's just sufficient force being produced. And that's why when the topic of active sufficiency comes up, how we're defining it is the fact that the muscle added short length is not experiencing sufficient force.
