The Case of Ronald Dean Smith Jr.

Five-year-old Ronald Dean Smith Jr. disappeared on August 24th, 1974. His mother was out of town and left him in the care of a relative. Two boys found his decomposed body two months after he went missing. The autopsy revealed that unlike older victims, Ronald had been kept alive for two days. Kearney's rate of attacks increased to roughly one a month.
