The grateful dead were kind of the m k ultra house band of the sixties. Maybe that wasn't just in 19 65, maybe they ended up becoming v m k altra house band of all american culture throughout 19 seventies, eighties, nineties and even till this day. They still sell out shows at the hollywood bowl and travel around the country and play festivals with an absolute army of people who are colloquily known as 'dead heads'
