The Importance of Sharing Expectations in Sexual Culture
I think that in order to have a really sort of well functioning sexual culture, I think there needs to be shared expectations which regulate behavior. If it's a complete free for all, and people just do completely whatever they want, you end up having lots of dysfunction and getting hurt. Do you see that tension playing out in how sort of sexual culture is emerging in Britain? No, I think that's a really interesting perspective on the show. For most ethnic minority people, they do feel that in their own kind of family life in a whole host of things.
