The Importance of CG in Anime
Season one of One Punch Man had a similar approach where the animators were like a little bit freed up to do some cool shit with it. They got to really get to showcase all throughout the series. I will say mappa had gotten a little bit of pushback. People still don't quite trust CG in anime fully.
