The Diversity Rationale in Law School
In 1973 there was this earlier case Called defunus that goes to the Supreme Court for a minute before it gets declared moot. President of Harvard Derrick Bach was worrying about affirmative action and The impact that a ruling against in that case the University of Washington Law School would have on schools like Harvard. But we're taking race into account in admissions because they had this long history of racial exclusion. They were trying to diversify their student bodies and be inclusive and so Bach Asked Why Does It Matter? "I mean it's about to go away. Why does it matter where it came from?"
