The Importance of Understanding Beliefs
The way we use the term autism today is the same as it was almost 40 years ago. Back then what we found was that autistic kids struggled on a test of understanding someone else's beliefs relative to a typical child of the same age. And, but you know, and it kind of opened the question about whether some of the difficulties that autistic kids have on autistic people because it is a disability.
