How to Combat Ransomware in the United States

Last week, more than three dozen cyber officials from around the world came to the White House to talk about how to fight ransomware groups like Vice Society. They've ripped a page straight out of the counter terrorism playbook, which makes some sense because threats from terrorists and ransom groups have a lot in common. Australia announced that it was set up a voluntary international anti-Ransomware task force aimed at coordinating and tracking money flows.
