How to Help Athletes Get What They Need

I try to just get it across to the athlete that look, I'm trying to have the best amount of training that we can have over this period of time. And so we don't want to do so much today that we then negatively affect the more important work we're going to do on another day. So when you hit that best rep, we might shut it down and say, okay, that's done. Other times, if we're further away from competition, we have a little bit more time to put in some work. That typically works and then I don't really run into any issues from there.
