The Chinese are resented in a number of countries and so on, right? I mean, so Vietnam and there have been reactions against that, the mass expulsion of Chinese. China going back to before the People's Republic, the Qing dynasty, the Republic of China after 1911, both of these governments claimed overseas Chinese as citizens on the basis of blood. But recently Xi Jinping has started to blur those lines and create a sort of try to enlist overseas Chinese communities in Chinese state projects.
