Is Source Material Still Important When You're Writing Music for Other Artists?
I'm constantly like sucking source material from every experience I go through. So if you're in the room with me and I think that you've gone through anything painful or anything remotely disruptive in your life, I'm going to poke and prod you until you come out with it. If I watch something on the news that bothers me, I might try to write their story as an artist. That's the only thing I've ever chased when it comes to dance records. When it comes to ballads, it's emotional goosebumps. And I'm borrowing if I'm an absolute succubus. Boy, it is hard to follow that up.
