On the open source side, I am fortunate to have a little bit more latitude and freedom. There are fewer gatekeepers in place. What we really stress is accuracy in terms of the technical content in description. We took an open source approach and we used Git and GitHub. That was from day one.
In this episode of The State of Developer Education, Jon is joined by Michael Robinson, the Community Manager at Astronomer. They delve into Michael’s educational background in English Literature and how it’s helped him join the tech community. What transferable skills was he able to utilize? How unique is his perspective on the world of tech?
At first glance, English and tech can seem like two completely different areas, but if we look deeper into them and be open to new ideas, we can begin to make connections that make them almost inseparable.
