A big part of science is not knowing. Even when you do know things, that knowledge can always be updated once we find out that something else is true. The way computers work, the way code works. So you have to follow your hypothesis but if it proves not to be true, you have to pivot. You can't go down a rabbit hole if it's not yielding you any results.You have to be quick to pivot and move in another direction. Yeah, this makes me wonder if there's a reason we call it computer science.
