I don't think you can compare the situation of Liz Truss's election or Boris Johnson's election win to where we are now. We came so close to an absolute financial catastrophe that could have had repercussions around the world. Anything that could upset that and send it spiraling downwards in the wrong direction is a real concern. Conservative MPs will be thinking about who gives them the best chance of winning the election, says Lord Tebbit. But ultimately, surely after the catastrophe of Quasie Quatang, people will be thinking the last thing we can do is to rock a very unsteady boat any further.
