A Ha, Ha, H Yes, It Is a Naughty Battle
Tacitus's description of germanic who, much later, finds the location of the battau. He describes finding the remnants of a camp that had not been properly built. And he has this really grim description of both the area as being dark and marshy and wet and horrible. It is a very affecting piece of writing.
