The Mystery of Michael's Murder

Diane was the beneficiary of both of Michael's life insurance policies, which were valued at almost two million dollars. Police discovered that not only had she written bad checks in the time before he was killed, but that in the short time before his death, Michael had complained to his friends that his wife was mishandling money. Bizarrely, during the preliminary hearings of the case against Diane, her and Michael's daughter, Cassandra, actually attempted to confess to his murder. But police noticed a series of inconsistencies in their story, and dismissed it as a false attempt to implicate herself in something she had nothing to do with.
