Is There a Christian Left in the United States?

There is obviously a very strong christian right in the united states. Some wold even say a kind of burgening or aggressive christian right. Its leading intellectual edge is often perceived to be the so called post liberal movement. Can you tell us why you think post liberalism appeals to so many on the christian political right, and how can a christian left confront it intellectually?
