The Importance of Deterrence in Southeast Asia
Southeast Asian states generally Singapore included very, very nervous. They are less accustomed to this sort of competitive dynamic that I guess for the Northeast Asians and so on they've had a lot more experience with. So if there is no sort of strong objection from Southeast Asian voices, while deterrence could be used to set a sort of floor, maybe there can be a cooperation. It would be potentially an approach that could get a little bit of friction, but it could actually work out.
