Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is becoming the most common cause of liver failure in this country. Even before it gets, you know, way before it gets to the liver failure part of it, it is a very early indicator of metabolic disease. Rob Syphus has done some great work on this. He puts his patients on metabolically healthy diets and he does liver biopsies before and after these surgical procedures. Within weeks, you can see the fatty liver disease reversing on these diets.
