Ryuichi Sakamoto's Death
Ryuichi Sakamoto won the Oscar for Last Emperor. He is also a Japanese composer who lived in New York. I've always loved him as an artist since I discovered him in college. His death is hitting me just like David Bowie's did because it feels like somebody who kind of saw the world the way I did and someone who was trying to get amazing art out there.
