Is There a Defect in the Way We Teach Science?

There's utility, no matter what field you're in, in being able to stand in at least two different places. I'm reminded specifically a of an acupuncturist who has training. He himself is a ethnic chinese and has training in the eastern tradition, but also training. From one of the top medical schools in the united states. And he practises acu puncture primarily, even though he is also able to practise western medicine. And i can go back and forth between them, and i can look at any given problem from both perspectives. When those two perspectives a line, like one set of methods is likely to be better than the other for any given problem.
