Is GPT AI Really a Good Idea?

I feel like the whole tech industry right now has jumped on GPT for headlines and everything else, but there's no discipline behind gaining that access. I see it as a solution looking for a problem. There's just no practical practicality for it yet. It doesn't know how to do any meaningful insertions or anything. It just kind of rots you a skeleton test class for stuff,.
