I didn't realize how hard it was to make anything that, you know, premiere or rock or all of like the kind of like late 80s to mid 90s. It's a whole other discipline that you can't really learn by. What you can do is just do it and start doing it and just struggle through it. I developed a style of making records that was effectively a crutch for the fact that I could not make something that was as good as records.
