Do You Work a Day or a Night?
Most of his work is done during the day, but i will occasionally have to shift over to a night schedule in order to get some of my observations. On radio astronomers studying radio light can observe regardless of what time of day it is. I have colleagues who work at telescopes on a group that i talk about in the book are telescope operators - people who are professionally trained to run and operate these enormous, complicated scientific instruments. And they will work for weeks at a time on a night schedule, keeping the telescopes running for astronomers who are coming in to use them for research.
