Are You Trying to Be Like Your Minority?

I'm a big fan of daphna osemans research in this area. They've been looking at differences between minority children, often black students, and their white peers in possible selves. We know that people from more underrepresented, minority, lower social class backgrounds, there's barriers. So what orseman and her colleagues have done in actual school settings is come up with little ways to nudge people to see greater overlap. Can make people feel like, ok, i can try to pursue that possible self. It's actually attainable.
